Colleagues,
I have an heir to an intestate estate (grandson of the decent) who “wants his money” but will not provide his address for notice purposes because he “doesn’t trust some of his family.” As far as I can tell, there’s no logical reason for refusing to provide his address. It appears to be pure paranoia. He will only communicate with his uncle (who is petitioning to be appointed as administrator of grandma's estate) using a “TextNow” telephone number. (I had to Google that - maybe I’m out of touch or just getting old!). If any of you have run into this situation, I’d love to hear how you handled it.
Thanks,
