If the car is road safe, I have had my PRs drive the vehicle to the bank/leasing company, and hand the keys to them. If not road safe, can it be towed to the bank?

Greetings List Members -
I have a situation that is new to me. One of my probate decedents was involved in a car accident prior to death. (death not related in any way to the accident FYI). The car was leased. Because the insurance had already agreed to repair, the PR continued with that and was told by the company that they would just take it back directly from the autobody repair shop.
That has not happened and the car was ready March 17th. The autobody shop was really understanding of my PR especially because they are out of the area...but now they are looking at three weeks, they are charging $100 per day for storage of the car.
Has anyone been through this? Other than continuing to try and reach the car company leasing department and also looking for cheaper storage options - I feel a bit trapped.
Thank you!
Brent
