[WSBAPT] Possible wrongful death action

If you settle, it can then be part of an "empty chair" defense and -
speaking as a former insurance coverage attorney - the question of wrongful
death when a senior citizen is one that frequently does not pay a lot.
(don't hate me, hate the system).

Strongly encourage getting a quality personal injury attorney involved
before signing ANYTHING. You don't mention the date of the accident so the
only thing I would be worried about is the statute of limitations, but if
this was recent, plenty of time to get quality advice from practitioner.

Good luck to them and I'm sorry that his life ended in this fashion (it was
a wrongful death situation in 2015 that broke the proverbial back that made
me switch practice areas after 15 years). .
