End of Life Washington is the nonprofit that assists eligible citizens in
qualifying for Medical Aid in Dying (as provided for under the Death with
Dignity Act). Their website is an excellent resource:
https://endoflifewa.org/ and volunteers are available by phone or email to
answer specific questions or to start a new case. 206.256.1636
info at endoflifewa.org

In addition to my paid work here at Lucent Law, I volunteer for End of Life
Washington, as both a Volunteer Ambassador giving presentations, and as a
Volunteer Client Advisor assisting clients through the logistics, and if
requested, being the person to offer them their final meds.

Subject: [WSBAPT] RCW 70.245 Death with Dignity
All,

I have an elderly couple that I did some estate work for a few years ago.
They contacted me today to ask me about the Death with Dignity Act.

I know nothing about this and would therefore be uncomfortable fumbling
through advising them how to prepare and execute such a serious plan should
the need arise. I also see that the law is undergoing revision.

Is there anyone in King or Pierce County who could advise them?
