[WSBAPT] Missing Heirs

Dear Listserv members,

I have a Probate case where two of the beneficiaries cannot be found. There is Real Property and an IRA account. The Administrator of the estate is the youngest son of the decedent. The missing older brothers are twins and a thorough search has been conducted by Heirsearch.

Questions:

  1.  What options are there for holding the IRA funds for the missing brothers until they are found or not? (The brothers are named beneficiaries on the IRA account.)
  2.  What can be done regarding the Real Property and the missing brother's share if they can be found or not?

The decedent died intestate.

The Administrator is concerned that the missing brothers' share may escheat to the state of Washington. If the brothers can't be found what happens to the Real Property?
