Are you sure they are disclosing your password, and not some other word?
I don’t seem to get the WSBA reminders (not sure why), but I get an identical reminder every month from ACTEC, disclosing several passwords. They must be using the same software. But those are not my passwords, or at least they are not my password for the main ACTEC listserv. Perhaps they are some kind of internal password? Check to see if I am on to something here.

Does anyone else take issue with the monthly email that the bar sends out confirming list serve email and including the recipient’s password right in the body of the email? We have had phishing schemes where someone has somehow successfully intercepted emails. It seems like including a password in the body of an email that could potentially be intercepted—where passwords are the very means that hackers get access to consumer information--is a very bad practice, especially for the bar association. What can be done about this?
