Diane -

I would add one thing to this - this may sound a bit paranoid, but I saw a colleague end up in a real pickle once.

Since one is a pro se party, an out of the box possibility to avoid the problems he ran into would be to file a declaration (and you can present to the judge when you present the order for execution) attaching the email authorization from the pro se party as an exhibit (deleting any other conversation, just enough to show the authorization). It's a little different, I think, when not a licensed attorney. You don't want a pro se saying they didn't ok it, or didn't understand what they were agreeing to, etc., as my colleague ran into down the road when pro se decided he didn't like the order after all. He was able to dig up the authorization - but if filed with the order, then it's all on record and easily available.
