Fern,

I don't know of any APS fast track (but truthfully this is not my field) but I do believe your client can call the local police and request a welfare check, providing grounds for concern and they would go out.  In the alternative, your client may want to (if possible) call a private company to do an assessment.  If someone else is involved and holds a POA though the access to the mom may be denied to a private party.

Just thoughts off the top of my head.

Hello Listmates,

The client is in a family situation and wanting to receive assistance from the Adult Protective Services. Snohomish County resident. The matter is fairly urgent. I have looked online and found a number but wanting to know if someone here may have a direct contact to give this matter some priority attention. In the post Covid world, services of all kinds have been more difficult to access and people are not as responsive as they used to be. If you have an inside track or have any useful suggestions pls contact me off list.

This concerns an 88-year-old woman who lives at home, is physically disabled and who qualifies as a vulnerable adult. The son concerned is the client.
