[WSBAPT] Canadian citizenship questions

My client is a Canadian citizen married to a US citizen. We planned on
doing a revocable living trust w/ optional QDOT provisions, in case she is
the surviving spouse and is not a US citizen yet.

However, her mother, who lives in Idaho, is also a Canadian citizen. Is
there something we need to do in the planning to avoid negative tax
consequences when my client inherits property from her mom? (My client
has one sister, who is a US citizen.) Maybe create a QDOT, not just enable
it, in my clients' RLT, and have her mom leave her share to the QDOT?

On a related note, my client wants to become a US citizen, but has about 5
different permutations of her name on different IDs (Ann, Anna, Annie,
etc.). Any referrals I could give her to help her with this?
