No we regularly file our clients probates here in Thurston county even though the property is in Mason County for that reason unless there is a compelling reason to file in that county.

Colleagues:

Is there any prohibition to commencing probate in Pierce County where the primary asset of the estate is real property located in Mason County?  I realize the Notice to Creditors will need to be published in Mason County.  Just looking to be sure there isn’t any reason I can’t file in Pierce County (where there is  – gasp – an electronic filing system).
