Listmates, I may be handling an estate that escheats. I understand the State makes a prima facie case for escheat by proving death, nonmarriage, intestacy and "diligent futile search by the state for heirs." I am looking for referrals to heir search firms for my diligent (but most likely futile) heir search - thank you - Shannon
