Sounds to me like the estate should pay you or the pr for bringing this to the attention of the court so appropriate orders could issue.

Thanks for the thought – a couple reason exists, one being that I have sent the attorney two requests for updated inventories and accountings (months apart) without any response and the PR and client have a very strained relationship to say the least.   ☹

Hey Diane, why not start with contacting counsel for the PR and ask if they are planning to be the Resident Agent and will take service of the documents and file a Resident Agent notice. If nothing else you might get the ball rolling.

I am involved in a probate matter where the PR lives in Idaho but did not file a resident agent but does have local counsel.  I need to file documents in the case – who would you serve local and out of state PR even though the Resident Agent wasn’t properly appointed.
