[WSBAPT] Is DSHS cut off by Notice to Creditors

No one has responded yet.  I believe this question has come up before.  I
think the State is treated like any other creditor, so it should be
precluded from coming after the estate or any heirs.  However, it would be
nice if someone has actually dealt with this.

Listmates;

 

DSHS was given actual notice of a pending probate with the required time for
any claim to be filed.  Notice to creditors was also published.  Office of
Financial Recovery did not file any claim.  Creditor's claim period has
expired; is DSHS prohibited from pursuing recovery against remaining estate
assets?
