[WSBAPT] Bank refusing to close decedent's checking account

Subject: [WSBAPT] Bank refusing to close decedent's checking account

Hello Listmates,

This is a first for me. A bank is refusing to close a decedent's checking account despite numerous attempts both in person and over the phone to do so. The death certificate and letters testamentary have been provided multiple times and the bank refuses even to acknowledge that they have been received. What are the judicial or non-judicial remedies in such a case?

As always your thoughts and considerable experience are much appreciated.
