[WSBAPT] Looking for Referral - Tax Relief

I know both WSU and Gonzaga Law school have income tax clinics that may be great resources for these folks if private pay is out of the question. Two common responses is currently no collectible - this is where the IRS agrees the taxpayer does not have the resources to pay and after an extended period of time write the tax debt off - or offer in compromise where the taxpayer agrees to pay "X" to satisfy the entire debt.

I have successfully been granted the two offers in compromise that I have submitted where other family members come forward and pay for private pay counsel (which I did discount).

Subject: [WSBAPT] Looking for Referral - Tax Relief

I have some long-time clients who have run into some tax trouble. They owned an auto repair business in Tacoma for years, but the husband now suffers from severe dementia and then shortly after he had to quit working, his business partner suddenly up and died just two weeks after being diagnosed with cancer. The wife has sold their rental property and is doing her best but everything seems to have gotten away from her and now finds herself in need of some tax advice/tax relief. Does anybody do this type of work or have any recommendations of someone to refer her to?

Thank you,

Steve Aita
