[WSBAPT] Small Estate Affidavit

[Sara Longley]

The Small Estate Affidavit is not filed with the court.  It is an affidavit for the heirs/beneficiaries to use in claiming assets held by financial institutions without the formality of probate, so the court system is not involved.

I am attaching a sample affidavit with ancillary documents that I downloaded a while back.  I hope it works for you!

Dear listmates,

Do you file the original small estate affidavit with the court and then provide a copy to the financial institution? I know that DSHS receives a copy. Does anyone happen to have a small estate affidavit in a Word document that they'd be willing to share? The one I found online has formatting issues. Thanks!
