Hi All,
I am probating a deceased doctor's estate. He had a solo medical practice, which must be dissolved within 12 months under RCW 18.100.116. Widow will sell the patient list, exam equipment, name and good will, etc. to a new doctor, but can she keep the A/R? Has anyone structured a sale of medical practice to allow the widow to continue receiving A/R? I know this is regulated and I'm trying to wade through those rules, but I feel there must be a way to do this. Buyer doctor could assign A/R to widow, but I'm concerned about rules on sharing medical fees with a non-doctor. Thanks for any experience you can share.
Best,
Nick
