Scam?  Similar thing happened to client of mine who sustained a minor injury
while in Mexico and months later began receiving collection calls for
medical services he never received.

 

If anyone is inclined to pursue this, I'd start by asking the collection
company for the original paperwork.

In 2019 my client rented a car in Italy and must have committed a got a
minor traffic issue. H wasn't stopped and no ticket was issued at the time
and no contact with police occurred. He has been contacted by a collections
company in California to pay the ticket of $650.00.  Clients did not know
about the ticket until now.  It must have been a photo camera or something.

          Anyway has anyone come up against this before and suggestions?
