If a Washington Estate Tax Return is needed to be filed, the DOR would probably require an update. Also, given income tax basis rules, I would likely be inclined to get a date of death value. I believe reasonable minds may differ 😉

Decedent passed away owning an LLC interest. The LLC’s only asset is commercial real estate that was appraised 6 months before death for a refinance. Will this appraisal suffice to establish the asset value, or must the PR obtain a new appraisal?
