[WSBAPT] Does nomination as PR or fiduciary jeopardize government benefits?

Client wants to nominate her son as PR and POA fiduciary. Son is a capable
adult who is her most trusted relative and with whom she is very close. He
is a highly functioning autistic adult who receives SSI supplemental income.
He will not inherit directly from her, but does it jeopardize his benefits
if he is named PR and fiduciary for her? I'm worried about the control/
appearance of ownership over the assets.

Thanks,

Betsy
