[WSBAPT] Redact birthdates in will?

Hello listmates -

My office is about to file a probate where the will is fairly old and
follows the past practice of listing the birthdates of all of the
decedent's children. We haven't probated one like this for a while and the
question came up whether we should redact the birthdates as personally
identifying information.

I can't find any statute or court rule mandating redaction (and SPR Rule
98.16W actually requires a petition to include the name and birthdate of
the subject of the petition).

Nonetheless, I'm wondering if there is a practice of redacting or not
redacting among the probate bar? Maybe we're being too sensitive?

Thanks in advance.
