Mike,
I don't know the answer to your question about a foreclosure moratorium, but I have had a few of these over the years pre-pandemic where I have successfully gotten the lender to delay the trustee's sale. It is easiest where you have a P & S signed and are heading for the closing. Sometimes just having it listed with a reputable realtor is enough. The key is working your way up the food chain of authority to get to a decision maker, and then kissing a lot of A**.
