[WSBAPT] Referral for attorney to negotiate creditor's claim

Surviving spouse did not disclose to us a potential creditor (hospital), so creditor did not receive actual notice. Notice to Creditors was published, and all creditors' claims filed were negotiated and paid. Estate was closed. Now surviving spouse (former client) informs us she's received notice from a collection agency regarding a $50,000+ claim. Decedent was on Medicare and had a supplemental policy. The supplemental insurance company indicates the bill exceeds their policy limits. Looking for an attorney (self-referrals or otherwise) that can help surviving spouse ensure that whatever was supposed to be covered by insurance was covered, and help her negotiate the remaining balance of the claim.

Thanks. Apologies if you receive this message on both listserves. The issue seems to be somewhere in between the two.
