Yes, I know. After discussing that with the clients, there are reasons why
these two cases are specifically being filed in those counties.

You can file probate in any county, so why not file in a county that is
convenient for you? We file all of our probates in Pierce County regardless
of where the decedent lived. You are required to publish the notice to
creditors in the county where the decedent resided, but you don't have to
file the probate there, unless you anticipate a dispute with a party who
will request venue in the county of residence.

Subject: [WSBAPT] Pacific County and Grant County Probate Matters

I'm about to file two testate probate matters, one in Pacific County and one
in Grant County. Until now, all of my probate cases have been filed in King,
Pierce, or Kitsap County, so I'm wondering if anyone who regularly practices
in either of those counties can give me any tips, tricks of the trade, local
preferences/procedures and such that I should know about or that will help
me out re: filing the Will, presenting the Petition, Ex Parte matters, etc.?

Thank you,

Steve Aita
