[WSBAPT] beneficiary designation lapse

I think you need to see the beneficiary designation form. See what the language of the form and the plan documents say. I have seen beneficiary designations forms that have a checkbox that allows account owner to indicate “per stirpes”, but if they don’t distribute to the surviving named beneficiaries, equally.

The designation to Decedent's children for the financial institution  read:  Child A 25%; Child B 25%, Child C 25%, Child D 25%.  Child D predeceased leaving lineal descendants.  I see three possibilities....  So which is it?  Thanks for your expertise.
