Hello listmates -

I have a client who has asked for help with a situation that I can't quite
figure out an angle on. His adult daughter died about 3 years ago. She was
married. Her ashes have been placed in a niche at a local cemetery, but her
husband (client's son-in-law) has not had a plaque put on the niche. This
is upsetting to the client and his ex-wife every time they visit. The
contract with the cemetery is in the son-in-law's name. The client has
offered to take care of getting the plaque made and installed, but the
son-in-law insists he will take care of it. It's gotten to the point that
the son-in-law is quite testy about it every time it comes up. Is there
anything the client can do to force the son-in-law to get this done? It
doesn't seem to fall within anything having to do with custody or
disposition of remains and it also doesn't seem to have anything to do with
the late daughter's estate to bring in TEDRA.

Thanks.
