Dear Listmates,

I have a colleague who is an experienced but mostly retired social justice
attorney who is seeking an attorney with TEDRA experience to represent the
holder of newly granted powers of attorney.

The quick summary of the potential client scenario is this: The holders of
previous powers are successfully getting others to not honor the new power
by just asserting that the principal was under undue influence. It is
highly likely that this is to keep skeletons in the closet. My colleagues
says they are successful Machiavellians.

The attorney who did previous documents has been convinced not to turn over
the principal’s client files. A bank has been convinced to not grant the
principal and his new agent access to his bank account.

It should not be difficult to establish the lack of undue influence. His
new attorney spent parts of three days with him privately to ascertain his
wishes and assures everyone that there was no undue influence. APS
investigating a complaint against the new agent, met with the principal and
found the claim of undue influence laughable.

Further, there was a strong reason for the change. The principal, with the
help of his new attorney, discovered that the previous agents had taken
control of his home and were going to sell it and move him to a facility.
This was contrary, to his well understood desire to stay at home.

Venue will be in Kitsap County. The TEDRA attorney, however, can be from
anywhere. There will not be a problem with billing for travel time.

Please respond if you have TEDRA experience, *can work on this ASAP* and
can be energized by the chance to help a vulnerable adult and get paid for
it.

I will pass along all referrals - thank you in advance!

Heather
