Notice of appointment goes to the Department of Revenue.  RCW 11.28.238 (referencing RCW 82.32.240).

DSHS gets a notice to creditors.  RCW 11.40.020(1)(d); RCW 11.42.020(1)(d).  Remember to include the decedent’s social security number.  Id.

All,

My first more complicated estate and I am filled with questions. The estate is worth well over $100,000, so I sent the Notice of Appointment to DSHS. This is where my deskbook and the State website stop providing any information about what to do.

I have heard nothing back from DSHS. What is my next step?
