Regarding the King County Probate Manual, there is a new edition underway by the KCBA and scheduled for publication by year end.

I'd like to add to this email and indicate that the 2011 King County Probate Manual needs to be updated given the new rules over the years, changes in how things are done and rules taking effect July 2021 and January 2022.
I would be willing to assist in this project as I am sure there are others on this listserve who would be interested in this update as well.

As for the custodian statute, I have used this only twice but it worked out well when minor children were heirs to real property in a Will.
It was difficult to navigate but I made it through unscathed

Subject: [WSBAPT] Washington Electronic Wills Act

I apologize if I missed this in the past few months, but is there an overview of this act other than the raw material of the larger bill in which it was passed? Or is someone who shepherded it through the legislature planning to do a CLE for our section or anything like that?

My associate and I are working with a committee on Idaho's proposed implementation of the uniform act. I am learning that Washington's inclusion of the custodian concept is either innovative or retrograde, depending on who you ask. (I think I am inclined to like it. But then I am just beginning my journey down this path!)
