Good morning,

Valid will from decedent dad leaves estate equally to our client (first-born daughter), second daughter, and "future wife." House to remain with "future wife" until sold and then proceeds divided equally among children.

Will names our client as PR. Decedent was unmarried at the time. Our client spoke with Marian (Nigerian fiancee) who provided journal notes from decedent regarding what appears to be
an informal marriage ceremony in Nigeria (fiancee's 11-year-old daughter officiated). As far as our client knows, they were never married in the U.S.

Regardless of whether fiancee can prove they legally married abroad, are we required to give notice to fiancee/possible spouse of opening probate if our client is named first PR and her sister, the backup? Future wife is not mentioned in PR provision.
