Since when do you take advice from a PI attorney, especially one who is suing the decedent for whom you are the court appointed PR? LOL

As the decedent’s PR, you would be the client of the insurance defense counsel. If the claim could exceed policy limits, you would very much be involved in figuring out additional defense.

Unless the order limits your appointment in scope, you are PR for all intents and purposes like any other probate.

Passenger sues deceased driver and appoints self as PR. Decedent's insurer objects to conflict so I am appointed PR from list.  Plaintiff Atty suggests that my role in litigation is limited.  Anyone have some resources /direction as to what the duties of a PR would be in these circumstances? Thanks Mike
