[WSBAPT] Canadian equivalent to UTMA?

Does anyone know, either offhand or through experience, if Canada (British Columbia, in particular) has protections for minors similar to the Uniform Transfers to Minors Act?

I can spend some time researching the question, but am hoping one of you already has some knowledge about it.
