My last two Notice to Creditors published by the Whidbey News Times were around $198.

Good to know. And somewhat surprising.

I looked at their website; going specifically to the advertising link. This did not show that they do “legal notices”; just general classified adds. So I did not find their website to be particularly user friendly in that regard. In Skagit, the LaConner Weekly is much less expensive than the Skagit Valley Herald (four or five times more expensive). The Skagit Valley Herald owns the Stanwood Camano News, so I also assumed that they would be more expensive, if in fact they did legal notices. So I gave up on the SC News before spending a bunch of additional time search around on their site. Today, I spent another ten minutes navigating around the SC site before I found the legal notices.

My office is located on Whidbey Island (Island County), and we typically publish Island County probate notices with the Stanwood Camano news, which is cheaper than the Whidbey News Times.

The Whidbey News Times is the legal publication in Island County now. The Coupeville Examiner Aka the Whidbey Examiner is defunct. I just had to check this the other day, and found the probate website list was out of date on Island Co. FYI.
