[WSBAPT] Medicaid qualified, but transportation benefits denied - referral

Yes, sorry I should have been clearer. He is on Medicaid currently; his issue is getting Medicaid to provide the transportation to his doctor. But he is saying that they are refusing to provide direct transport to the office, or even provide a voucher for transport to a public shuttle stop that he could use to get to the doctor's office.

Sincerely,

Eric

When you say qualified for Medicaid is he actually on Medicaid? They will transport across the river but they need like 2 week notice to schedule

So human services council will provide transport if its a Medicaid client and it's a service covered by Medicaid.

Subject: [WSBAPT] Medicaid qualified, but transportation benefits denied - referral

Hello all-Just received a call from potential client in Vancouver WA. He is disabled and already qualified for Medicaid. He has doctor appointments with a doctor across the river in Oregon, and Medicaid is denying him transportation benefits. It's not entirely clear to me why, though it appears to be something about crossing into the other state, or not having a doctor in Vancouver, or something.

At any rate, he has tried the usual Medicaid lawyers who help get one qualified for Medicaid-but they say they can't help. He needs someone who can help with the specific denial of transportation benefits.

Any possible referrals? Many thanks in advance--

Sincerely,

Eric
