I am sure you have all heard about the state ban on events of 250 or more and if less, only permitted if proper precautions are met.
Interestingly, I am meeting with a caterer who needs an agreement so I look forward to receiving your thoughts and suggestions also.

Subject: [WSBAPT] off-topic referral - contract advice for event hosters/planners

Good morning, list mates -

A friend is putting together a webinar for companies in the event planning/hosting industry on their options for getting out of or reforming contracts as social distancing takes hold. She is looking for a lawyer to participate on a panel to provide the following:

We need some expert-level insight on contract law: nothing super dense or academic, but practical brush strokes across things like force majeure clauses, recourse and insurance, what is and is not protected; recommendations for standard language. Risks and mitigation thereof.

* Benefits: captive audience of event planners, association leaders; copy of the final attendee list (lead gen opportunity); practical insights from and engagement with a "global" audience around a topic that's top of everyone's mind right now

* Discussion will also include perspectives / exchange of ideas from healthcare, hospitality (venues), HR and internal business management, technology: distance learning/virtual/hybrid events
* Timeline / availability: shooting for mid-late APRIL

Let me know if you are interested in participating or know someone who might be.

Thanks -
