You can see a sample Motion and Order on attorney Chad Horner’s website, https://www.kingcountyprobates.com/minor-beneficairies
He has the King County forms, which include either a long form or a shorter version for smaller/simpler estates (less duties for GAL).
If your case is up in Skagit, probably can just adapt to local rules/customs.

Hi Hillary,

I don’t have a motion/stipulation to discharge GAL, but I was earlier looking for a sample petition/motion to appoint a GAL for a minor beneficiary in a probate. Do you have something like that you would be willing to share? I’ll also look for the motion to discharge and can share that with you if successful in my search.

Hello listmates:

Does anyone have a motion/stipulation to discharge GAL for a minor during probate they would be willing to share with me? The kid recently turned 18 and the probate is not in a place where we will be closing quickly enough to just wait it out. The GAL has been essentially non-responsive so I doubt I could get ahold of her to sign a stipulation.
