I represent several marinas and my clients have used RCW 88.26.020 when dealing with abandoned boats

Subject: [WSBAPT] Abandoned Boats

Listmates,

This can't be a localized issue. I have three different clients who are in possession of abandoned boats. I have talked with the local Washington State Department of Licensing, Sheriff's Department, and the Coast Guard Station in Port Angeles about how the clients get title to these vessels so they can sell them. No one has an answer. There is no RCW about abandoned boats as there is for automobiles. Before I call Olympia to get another "we don't know" answer, have any of you dealt with abandoned boats.
