Eric,

I reviewed cost records for an old case of ours where we petitioned for the safe deposit to be opened to get the original will. The filing fee was the regular probate filing fee, but there was no need for an additional fee to petition for probate once we had the original will.

No probate started yet; is the fee to file a petition to open a safe deposit box (King County Local Rule 98.04(d)) the standard $240, or cheaper maybe?
