[WSBAPT] Just Pay the Bill?

I generally advise clients to simply pay the undisputed small bills. I still include these creditors in the notice process, but remind the client of the time involved to receive and review the claim, forward it to them to review, reply and pay with appropriate receipt, tracking and then file receipts. The cutoff used to be $50-100, now $100-250, depending on the client’s comfort level and access to cash assets to pay.

Subject: [WSBAPT] Just Pay the Bill?

Has anyone ever advised their client to simply pay a late creditor claim because the amount of the claim (in this case $140.00) is less than what it would take for my office to draft up the formal rejection, send it certified mail etc?

Curious.
