[WSBAPT] Pierce County Probate?

Erin,

            We are efiling the Petition in LINX, mailing the original Will if testate with a check for the Letters Testamentary and then efiling the order for exparte.  It has been working pretty efficiently.

            The probate clerk Lu Scott is helpful.  Let me know if you need her email or phone number.

That’s correct.  I did it recently in King County; opened the probate case with the other petition documents by efile, and then mailed in the will requesting it be filed in the case.  Then, after the will showed up on the docket, I submitted everything ex parte via the clerk for the signed order and Letters (that part is the same).

It depends on the county as each are doing things a little differently.
In King county, I have been able to use efiling and ex parte via the clerk and open probates, get signed Orders and Letters.
If you need to have a hearing, I think you can still file and serve, note for hearing but it will be no oral argument unless ordered by the court and then by telephone.
