Christie – RCW 11.98.005 answers this question.  Basically you also need a nexus to the state of Washington.   The statute outlines the ways to do that.

Colleagues –

PC is currently incarcerated in Federal facility in another state.  PC originally resided in WA prior to incarceration.  PC has a sizable settlement from civil case and wants to set up Trust to assist family.

Can we set up WA (situs) trust?  Any other particulars we should know about?
