[WSBAPT] German pension payments

My experience with these, whether Germany or other European countries is that they have requirements that the recipient prove residence and “life” annually. I have several clients, and family members for whom I notarize a statement that they are alive and well, their current residence (city, state, country) etc. Some of the pensions have their own forms, some require the recipient to send their own.

Good morning all,

This may be a long shot, but I’m wondering if any of you have any experience with German pension payments to people who have moved permanently to the US?  More particularly, clients were receiving monthly pension payments from a German company for several years, but payments stopped coming last June.  Clients have had a residence in the US for quite some time.

If anyone has any insight regarding what may be happening here and would be willing to chat with me or shoot me an email, it would be much appreciated!
