[WSBAPT] German pension payments

I had a client who passed away about 6-7 years ago, who used to come to me annually to have some kind of form notarized that allowed her to continue receiving her German pension. I recall her telling me that she had to keep filing the document or they would stop the pension. She had been a U.S. resident for decades, I believe.

Unfortunately, that's all I know, or at least all I remember at this point. The work I did for her (other than notarizing) never involved the pension itself.

Good morning all,

This may be a long shot, but I’m wondering if any of you have any experience with German pension payments to people who have moved permanently to the US?  More particularly, clients were receiving monthly pension payments from a German company for several years, but payments stopped coming last June.  Clients have had a residence in the US for quite some time.

If anyone has any insight regarding what may be happening here and would be willing to chat with me or shoot me an email, it would be much appreciated!
