[WSBAPT] Snohomish TEDRA initial hearing

Generally, in Snohomish County, all TEDRA matters go before Judges on the Judges Civil Motions Calendar.   Sometimes, you may not have the senior level clerks and they do not catch that but that is the practice (perhaps not rule) in Snohomish County.  Other counties may vary.   G3

Most courts that I practice in handle it as follows: If the matter under the TEDRA Petition will be 10 minutes or less, the clerk will put it on the probate docket.  If it will take longer than 10 minutes, then it goes to the civil motion calendar.  If the clerk switches it to the wrong one, you need to contact the clerk to make sure it is docketed correctly.  With that said, some clerks view all TEDRA Petitions as heavily contested matters and therefore taking more than 10 minutes.  You might not be able to convince them otherwise.

I have noted a TEDRA hearing on Petition in Snohomish and was told by the court to put on Commissioner's probate calendar at 1:00 PM on a Tuesday.
Just got a call that it needs to be on Judge's calendar at 9:30 a.m. for civil motions, not probate calendar.

Last time I did this, I was told the opposite when I noted on the Judge's civil motions calendar, it got moved to probate commissioner's calendar.

Anyone know where I can find authority for noting the TEDRA hearing on Petition in Snohomish.  Frustrated here.
