If bond is waived, you still have to appoint a Resident Agent for the PR.

*Subject:* [WSBAPT] Can a Will waive bond for a nonresident personal
representative

I thought I read somewhere that nonresident personal representatives must
file a bond. However, RCW 11.36.010(6) says in part: “unless bond has been
waived as provided by RCW 11.28.185, such nonresident personal
representative must file a bond to be approved by the court.” So if the
Will contains a provision waiving bond for the person nominated to serve as
personal representative he or she will not have to file a bond even if a
nonresident, correct?
