Sounds like a situation calling for proceeding cautiously. Is there security for the "promise" to pay out ? Not sure of the motivation of the cousin but without more facts, just feels fishy.

Subject: [WSBAPT] Windfall
Good Friday Morning,
Have a PC looking for assistance with an unexpected windfall from a grandparent but the cousin is asking for a release of interest with promise to payout.
All referrals will be forwarded.
Thanks in advance for all responses. Have a great weekend.
