Most states have a statute that says that anything to be performed on a holiday can be performed the following day.  And the statute defines Sundays as holidays. Oregon has such a statute.  I suspect you can find such a Washington statute.

TEDRA preliminary hearing is set for a Friday. Statute says the Response is due 5 days before he hearing. That would be Sunday. Does that mean the response is due the Monday before the hearing, or the Friday?
