Yeah; what Eric said.  It probably will take a year to get a death certificate; in the meantime a court can authorize preservation of assets.

My clients are named PR’s on an original LT&W that they have.
Elderly decedent left an unsigned note that “by the time you read this I will be feed for the sturgeon”  another unsigned note thanked the PR’s for help without which he could have been in “an old folks home”.
THe Sherriff has quit looking for the body .  It was about 2 weeks ago that he took his boat out for the last time.  Clients think he may have “weighed down” his body so it may never surface.

Burglars have gone through the house and took some items (not sure how much cash was stolen etc.) already.  Clients have locked things but want to put valuable items in a more secure place.

County coroner says no death certificate “for a long long time”.

So any suggestions?
I thought about presenting will and ask they be appointed with intervention so they can handle some things, but not distribute anything... and get stuff secured??
