Attached is the Estate Recovery Information that the OFR sends with its notice of intent to lien. I called the Estate Recovery Unit at 800-562-6114 to discuss hardship deferral a couple years ago and had a good result.

Subject: [WSBAPT] Office of Estate Recovery - waiver of lien

While I have had the OFR reduce its lien, I had a case a long time ago where the the decedent's son was living in the home and receiving state payments for caring for his mother who was receiving state aid. After she died, the OFR waived the lien. Does anyone have had a chance to deal with them on compromise and or waiver? WAC?

Thanks

Mike
