Dear Listmates; I have a question about the Allowance of a Creditor's Claim. Decedent ("D") and Surviving Spouse ("SS") obtain unsecured loan from private party ("PP"). Loan is being paid over time. SS is now D's Personal Representative. Notice to Creditors sent to PP and PP files a Creditor's Claim for the outstanding principal balance of the loan. SS acknowledges the loan but I'm afraid of simply sending an Allowance of Creditor's Claim without mentioning that it is being paid over time at a set interest rate. Do I send an allowance that just says "Yeah, we acknowledge the total" or should we send an allowance that says "We agree to the total but by agreement of the parties, it's being paid at $$$ per month at XX%."
